Lifesavers

An exciting residential development project in the old Lifesavers Factory on Parramatta Road, Stanmore.

Comprised of 3 adjoining warehouses, the planning strategy for the project was to maintain and restore 2 of the existing warehouses and generate a contemporary language with the third building in detailed face brick, hit and miss brick screens and arched window heads.

These vertical concrete vaults reference the form of the lifesaver ‘lollies’.

Fundamental to the building design is the internal garden, a calm and cooling micro-climate, an acoustic respite from the busy road hosting a range of natives and large palms to assist with interapartment privacy.
